Lindsay holds a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology and brings 20 years of experience as a Physical Training Instructor with the Calgary Police Service. In this role, she delivers strength and conditioning, health, and wellness programming to first responders in high-performance and high-stress environments. She has supported recruits and officers through all stages of their careers, helping them build physical resilience, manage occupational stress, and develop sustainable health habits.
Now, as a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology student, Lindsay is building on this foundation to integrate mental health support with physical and lifestyle approaches. She works from a trauma-informed and person-centred lens, drawing on Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Person-Centred Therapy, while also incorporating strategies from Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She values the flexibility of tailoring her approach to meet the unique needs of each client. Her counselling interests include working with first responders, women in midlife, and individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, and life transitions.
Outside of work, Lindsay is happiest when she is active and outdoors, snowboarding, downhill mountain biking, strength training, or exploring somewhere new. She loves travelling, spending time with her dogs, and being with her family. Staying connected to the things that keep her grounded helps Lindsay bring authenticity, presence, and practicality to her work. Her goal is to create a space where people feel heard, understood, and supported, while equipping them with the tools they need to feel and function at their best.
