Hailey Coumont is a practicum student pursuing a Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. She currently holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Management, and certification in Emergency Medical Response.

For over two years Hailey has worked within a therapeutic campus-based treatment program developing a trauma-informed and client-centered approach. She supports and engages with youth clients that present with various diagnoses often encompassing: Autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), Reactive Attachment Disorder (RAD) and Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD). This experience facilitated training and experience within Therapeutic Crisis Intervention.

Hailey is a former elite multi-sport athlete competing on both team Alberta and Canada. Such experience fostered a passion for working with others and comprehending the psychological components of sport. Due to sport and work related injuries, Hailey has undergone several joint reconstruction surgeries, which have required significant identity shifts. This fuelled her passion for supporting others during periods of change and challenge.

Hailey intends to be established as an integrated therapist; therefore she draws from numerous psychological theories to ensure the diverse needs of clients are met.

In her spare time Hailey creates art, works out, enjoys nature, and cares for her pet turtle and three dogs.
