Bridgette Harding
Registered Provisional Psychologist
My Story
Bridgette believes that every client is the expert on their own life. She takes a collaborative, client-centred approach, meeting people where they are and tailoring therapy to their unique needs, goals, and experiences. Her role is not to tell clients what to do, but to walk alongside them as they navigate challenges, build insight, and create meaningful change.
Clients often describe Bridgette as warm, genuine, down-to-earth, and easy to talk to. She strives to create a space where people feel safe, understood, and accepted without judgment. While therapy can involve difficult conversations, she believes healing can also include moments of humour, connection, and hope.
Before becoming a psychologist, Bridgette spent many years working alongside children, adolescents, and adults in community and healthcare settings. Those experiences shaped her understanding of the challenges people face and strengthened her belief in the importance of compassionate, person-centred care. More than 15 years later, she still feels honoured to be invited into her clients' stories.
Much of Bridgette's work is grounded in understanding how past experiences, relationships, and attachment patterns shape our present-day lives. She believes therapy should be tailored to the individual rather than a one-size-fits-all process and draws from a variety of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Attachment-Based Therapy, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, and other trauma-informed interventions.
Bridgette works with adults (18+) and couples. She is particularly passionate about supporting clients navigating trauma, attachment-related concerns, anxiety, relationship difficulties, healing from family-of-origin wounds, life transitions, and challenges related to self-worth and building a more fulfilling life.
Above all, Bridgette values the therapeutic relationship and recognizes that finding the right therapist is an important part of the process. To help ensure a good fit, she offers a complimentary 20-minute consultation where you can ask questions, discuss your goals, and determine whether working together feels right for you.
Bridgette is a Registered Provisional Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists.
